I went into Abbeville General this morning before work for an X ray and an ultrasound. My grandparents were long-time volunteers at the hospital--they both grew up in very rural areas where the nearest hospital was very far away; in my grandfather's case, he wouldn't have been able to get treatment at the nearest hospitals, because was was Monacan ( Read more... )

I got some blood drawn at the doctor's office this morning, and my ultrasound is scheduled for Friday. Of course my gallbladder hasn't really hurt since Thursday, so I wonder if I should drop the whole thing. I just found out we're going back to Blue Cross for our health insurance next year. So if the consensus is that my gallbladder needs to come out, I'm going to try to wait until January, unless the doctor says it's urgent. I hate the insurance we have now.
